Verizon Wireless company-owned retail stores across Michigan will open early at 8 a.m. Friday for customers interested in purchasing the iPhone 5. Online pre-orders for the device have been filled and only in-store stock remains. Supplies are limited per store and additional employees will be on site at all locations to assist with customer sales.
Here are additional consumer tips for buyers of the first iPhone device that will work on Verizon’s 4G LTE network:
  1. Don’t cancel a current service provider if you’re switching phones. It needs to remain active until the transaction can be completed in a new purchase.
  2. Keep your contacts in your current phone for easy transfer. There are applications and programs to make this simple.
  3. An old phone can also be donated at a Verizon Wireless store or turned into a gift card with the company’s trade-in program.
